Man, it really does feel like it was just yesterday. I guess I started thinking about if when I saw her facebook status and commented. Back in the day, hanging out in the GW chatroom with the whole crew. It was our own personal play-house away from the other worlds that inhabited the internet.

This year, Thanksgiving was unsurprisingly very low key. No family was over (Granted, Titi and Tio were working on Marlena's apartment, and my dad's family are a bunch of assholes save for a couple), and it was just the five of us (Charlie). We had an early dinner sort of thing and ate our brains out thanks to Mum's delicious food stuffs. Then we went to go see Ninja Assassin (Terrible movie, but endlessly entertaining), and here I am now, anticipating what is bound to be a long day tomorrow.

Why Black Friday, you ask? Is Ryo really that sort of consumer whore?

No, not really. Black Friday has always been a highly anticipated day for me if only because for the past five or so years, it's been a day that me and my mom hang out. Wake up early, grab coffee, scout out stores and lines, and get ready to grab random shit that we never wanted that bad but couldn't say no to.

Why this is fun, I'm not really sure, but I feel like part of it is that it feels like such an adventure, driving around, hunting for cheap things. Yes, it's when I do a great deal of my Christmas shopping and this year will be no different. I gotta get stuff for many a friend this year, and tomorrow is the day to do it.

But even besides that, it's fun acting like a little kid with my mum who in turn does. It's fun having to watch each other's backs like we're on some kind of secret mission. It's exciting, and after missing last year, it's probably one of the days I wanted back the most.

All right, I'm out for now. The sister just mentioned Pumpkin Pie. My fate has been decided.

Tomorrow I'll update if I'm still alive. >.>

1. Freshmen year in the girl's suite, one of my friends was in one of the girl's rooms, and little did I know, but they were hooking up. So while I was talking about in the common room, I said hello. They said hello back. >.>

2. Best drinking story huh? Either has to be the time I went to Lindsay's birthday party and drank so much that I blacked out and was suddenly dancing with some Japanese girl that I didn't know hours later. Or the time when I went bowling drunk and ran down the lane with Danielle. We got yelled at. o.O;;

3. As cliche' as it sounds, Hawaii. I've always wanted to go, and I've been meeting so many people recently who are unexpectedly from there.

4. XDXDXDXDXD. Um, keeping it basic, the one that simply moved up and down. The other ones were kinda questionable.

5. Hakumen from Blazblue. Definitely. If I ever cosplay again, it'll be him.

Hey folks.

I haven't written anything substantial in a little while, so even though this is a post about nothing in particular, at least it's a post!

Been really swept up in classes and the JET application recently. Especially with the deadline slowly closing in, I need to wrap up all the remaining elements that have to be completed, and rework some of my answers for maximum efficiency. Don't wanna fuck this up.

Class registration for spring semester is tomorrow. Man, last semester huh? So much to think about.

In other news, after months of silence (Again), shit hits the fan. W00t.

Also, I have managed to get my entire suite playing Blazblue, amd multiple other people extremely interested in the game as well. It's nice to have people to play with again. Jeff was the only one who had insane interest in the game like me back at home.

Also convinced Caitlyn to buy a PSP. My streak continues of destroying college student's wallets. A winner is me!

Also, much to my surprise the band Mr. Children (singers of the OP movie 10 theme song) are much more than just a pop band. They are apparently one of the most beloved light rock bands in Japan, and have been for a long time. Been checking out some of the music, really pleasant easy to listen stuff.

Anyway, I'm feeling kinda sick, so I might just sit down and play some Xenogears before bed. I forgot just how adult this game was compared to the Final Fantasies. Villains in bed together, after sex like it was no big deal. Talking about hang overs and drinking in a more mature straightforward fashion. These must have been some huge steps for Square back in the day. It's too bad we still haven't seen anything quite like it since.

So, I just now finished reading a book I had been assigned for the American Tv culture class I'm taking this semester. It's a book called "Where the Girls are" and it tracks representations of women in TV since its initial conception.

Holy shit, this came out of fucking nowhere. This is one of my favorite game scores ever, and I had NO clue they were working on a remix album for it.
